Aleppo is considered by many as the most cosmopolitan city in the Middle East. And last, not least, one can observe an interesting mix between the islamic influences and the christian and jewish influences. Aleppo has never lost its status as a commercial hub in the Middle East, so it actually never ceased to attract business men, adventurers and traders from all corners of the world, many of them decoded to settle here, which resulted in various ethnic groups living together and a prolific cultural climate.
